Starting the new year with a fresh focus on novel analog IP

Krishna Anne, CEO at Agile Analog

As the Agile Analog team return refreshed after the holidays to begin a new year of working on our ground-breaking analog IP, it’s a great time to reflect on the company’s highlights in 2025 and examine our key focus areas for 2026.

2025 highlights

Across the global semiconductor industry there was considerable growth in 2025 (17% according to an IDC report). However, there were also ongoing challenges, with continued geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain constraints and an increasing talent gap. Despite these issues, 2025 was a very positive year for Agile Analog, with our highest number of customer bookings and projects.

Our product roadmap was primarily focused on the development and expansion of our Security IP solutions, to address the surge in demand from our tier 1 customers with cutting-edge applications. We announced our agileSecure analog anti-tamper portfolio in September, with our new electromagnetic sensor and US project involving advanced nodes.

Our progress with strategic industry partnerships was another highpoint. Many must remain confidential at this time, but Rambus is one relationship that we have been able to openly talk about. Take a look at the Rambus blog post about our collaboration and why anti-tamper sensors matter.

Our team was very busy, meeting new and existing customers at major foundry events held by TSMC, GlobalFoundries, Intel Foundry and Samsung. In June, we also took part in DAC - the Design Automation Conference – with a spot in the EE Times Pavilion.

And talking of EE Times, we were delighted to be selected again as one of their Silicon 100 Startups Worth Watching.

2026 focus

This year the global semiconductor industry is likely to be facing similar challenges to those in 2025, but encouraged by our own success we are optimistic about the prospect of exciting new activities and opportunities.

We are aiming for further expansion of our Security IP, with developments such as a laser fault injection sensor. Additional work will be undertaken on our Data Conversion IP, especially our ADCs, to include higher resolution and higher sample rate solutions. Extra focus will also be given to our unique technology – Composa.

We believe that more global strategic industry partnerships will be on the cards for Agile Analog this year. Hopefully we will be able to talk openly about some of these - so watch this space!

We will be attending and taking part in many of the key foundry events again, as well as some more niche security events. Please keep a regular eye on our Events web page to see when and where you can catch up with us.

We are looking to expand the Agile Analog team to enable us to meet the increasing demand for our wide-range of innovative analog IP solutions. As well as recruiting more people to work out of our Cambridge UK office, we also have ambitions to open a second design center in mainland Europe later this year.
