Agile Analog launches new Digital Standard Cell Library

Agile Analog™, the analog IP innovators, has launched its Digital Standard Cell Library (DSCL). It provides a comprehensive library of digital cells enabling designers to implement the digital circuits required to control analog blocks in mixed signal solutions. The new digital library is available in thick-oxide based cells, operating above the core voltage domain, minimising leakage and allowing easy migration across different process nodes even in FINFET technologies.

Agile Analog announces IR Drop Sensor IP

Agile Analog™, the analog IP innovators, has designed an IR Drop Sensor for its growing library of analog IP. This is an important safety feature for designers as it monitors for voltage drops when current flows through a resistor, which is called IR drop and can affect the timing of a chip and could result in functional failures if this happens in a critical part of the design.

What a great #Defcon29 conference last week

Was amazing to see a number of glitch-led security attacks being presented, and a significant increase in the number of physical attack vectors. We really enjoyed these highlights in particular: Alex Matrosov and Adam Zabrocki showing the use of clock glitching to attack RISC-V CPUs, and a great response from RISC-V Foundation to set up a security response team.

EE Journal: Agile Analog Advancing Analog Design Using In-House Automation

Automated Analog Design? This first discussion may make it sound like you can go out and buy software for automated analog design. So I should probably start with saying that, no, that’s not the case. But what we’re going to discuss does involve such tools – it’s just that you would have access not to the tools, but to the results of the tools.
